Jeremiah Castille
The Man Behind the Mission
Jeremiah Castille, born to Joseph and Mary Castille, told his second-grade teacher his dream was to be a professional football player. By high school, he made the most important decision of his life: to put his trust in Jesus as his Savior.
In 1979, he received a football scholarship to the University of Alabama, where Coach Bryant instilled courage, discipline, and leadership. Drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 1983, his dream came true. After six years in the NFL, Jeremiah felt God calling him to full-time ministry.
In 1999, he was ordained and founded the Castille Family Foundation with his high school sweetheart, Lori Jean Flakes, based on Isaiah 61:1-4. He continues to serve as the chaplain for the University of Alabama football team.

Jeremiah Castille is probably the single most influential man I have ever met, as far as someone who has challenged, inspired and helped to mold and shape me into a man of God. His foundation has reached out to many on the campus of the University of Alabama, both athletes and common students, in order to show them the love and power that faith in Christ brings. Mr. Castille is someone whom I am eternally grateful to God in introducing me to and allowing me to build a relationship with.
